Foundry and model making

The question of origin – this is just as relevant for people as it is for machines. With us you know exactly where your components come from: from our foundry. Know-how in foundry and manufacturing processes ensures the highest level of quality. After all, this is the basis for everything that follows.

Model making. Simple to complex model equipment made from plastic, wood, and metal can be produced with the CNC-controlled milling machine. CAD data is processed for manufacturing prototype parts (Rapid Prototyping).

Melting shop. The heart of the foundry is the melting shop. With two six-tonne medium frequency furnaces that are loaded by charging vehicles, and two melt temperature-retaining commercial frequency furnaces, up to 17,000 tonnes of good casting in the qualities GJL and GJS can be produced annually. Every charge is melted into the material required.

Molding bay. Surface-precise castings are produced in the manual and mechanized cold-setting resin molding bay. Large flat castings are produced by a vacuum forming unit whereby the molds are solidified through evacuation of the molding sand. This environment-friendly and binder-free molding process ensures resource-conserving production.

Know-how. Groundbreaking analyzing processes such as spectral analysis and thermal analysis, diligent raw materials selection, mechanical-technological testing, and extensive first article inspections with ultrasonic and final dimension checks provide constantly high quality.
