Spur gears. The drive train of printing presses is made up of numerous helical cut spur gears whose quality has a direct influence on print results. Also here, manufacturing is subject to the highest demands on precision. Depending on the requirements, production of spur gears up to module 10 consists of rough turning, milling and boring, grinding and milling, and hardening and grinding of the gear teeth.

Master gears. The state-of-the-art machine park in our gear production operations enables us to manufacture helical cut gears in master gear quality.

Cams. Even in modern printing presses many units are still mechanically controlled by cams. Cams with both inner and outer tracks are needed. The current range of individual parts comprises more than 100 different workpieces. manroland offers the complete process chain for cam production: rough turning, flat grinding, contour milling, adding the bore hole pattern, hardening of the cam tracks, and finally grinding the contours.

Prototype construction in batches from one upwards. Our Rapid Deployment Group can produce any workpieces and assembles at short notice in small batches for test purposes.
