Space is not a prerequisite.
Efficiency is the art of making more out of less. With its integrated delivery, the ROLAND 200 only needs the same space as a very small-format press (35/50 centimeters) but has twice the output. That’s only one good example of our “Value Added Printing” strategy – you can find many more on this and the following pages.
Low space requirements. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the ROLAND 200 can fit practically anywhere. The four-color press for instance is only 5.4 meters long, 2.9 meters wide and 2 meters high.
Rapid installation. When access to the installation site is ideal, up to five-color versions of the ROLAND 200 can be delivered fully assembled, and the press is ready to start production in the shortest possible time.
A high level of production security. The RCI (Remote Controlled Inking) color control system integrated in the delivery, along with automatic settings, reduces makeready times to a minimum. Color and register corrections can be easily carried out on the run.
Short makeready times. Remote adjustment of lateral and diagonal register*, automated plate changing with EPL™ (Ergonomic Plate Loading)*, fully automated cloth-type blanket washing systems*, and color presetting with PressManager smart* shorten makeready times, as do the easy to clean ink fountains with a special coating.
Up to color fast. With ColorPilot smart* the first saleable sheets are produced within a very short time, and the system maintains consistently high printing quality over the entire run. A motorized rail* makes operation simple.

0.04 to 0.8 millimeter: a small step for a printer but a big step for a printing company.
Flexibility is a prerequisite for staying one step ahead of the competition. The ROLAND 200 is the only press in its format class that can process substrates from 0.04 to 0.8 millimeter thick.
The utmost flexibility. As far as the range of substrates is concerned, the ROLAND 200 is the most flexible press in the 50 x 70 centimeters compact format class. It can process substrates from 0.04 to 0.8 millimeter thick.
Special equipment for cardboard*. Equipping the press with CardboardWheels prevents sheets slapping against the transferters. Cardboard equipment also includes a cover frame on the feedboard and sheet rear edge guides above the impression cylinders.
Up to six printing units. The ROLAND 200 can be configured with any number of printing units between two and six Inline enhancement. Five or six printing units permit Value Added Printing through inline finishing. Equipment for coating, scoring*, and perforating* is available – all inline.
Individual solutions. A wide range of options provides a high degree of meaningful differentiation from the competition. An overview of selected options is enclosed with this brochure.

The ultimate degree of precision.
No compromises. Sturdy, integrally cast sideframes weighing tons ensure highly stable register over the entire life cycle of the press.
Highly stable register. The massive bed plate guarantees stability and precision. This minimizes maintenance and wear for the lifetime of the press.
No color variations. The geometry of the fast-reacting 15-roller inking unit has been taken over from medium- and large-format presses and provides consistent inking over the entire run. Besides that, the three oscillating rollers in the 5-roller damping unit effectively counter act print disturbances.
Precise color control. The most precise ink slides on the market with 200 linear increments enable color to be accurately matched and exactly reproduced.
Gentle sheet travel. The modern principle of double-diameter impression cylinders and transferters also taken over from medium- and large-format presses ensures contact-free sheet travel which is especially important when printing thicker substrates. manroland sheetfed offset presses have the flattest sheet travel in the industry.
Exact infeed register. The feeder with suction feedboard and pneumatic sidelays ensures precise and markless sheet feeding with a display for early, late, or diagonal sheets.
