Europe's First EUROMAN Goes to Russia
Heatset web press from manroland for a dynamic market
The EUROMAN that is to start up in Russia next year will be the first to be installed in all of Europe. The Povolzhskiy Dom Pechati printing company in Togliatti has ordered one of manroland’s new 32-page heatset web presses. The aim behind this investment is to become the magazine production market leader in the entire Middle Volga Region.
The contract for the EUROMAN is signed and sealed and the web offset press will be delivered in February 2009 and installed in an existing building that is being renovated. Povolzhskiy Dom Pechati has its headquarters in the city of Togliatti, the centre of the Russian automobile industry. Thanks to the advantageous location the company’s customers do not only come from this region and so the strategy is to offer a wide portfolio of different products.
Highly economical double-circumference heatset offset printing
The EUROMAN is to be equipped with automatic reel splicers, four I-type printing towers, a gas dryer with chilling rollers, and a control system for color and cut-off register. The 2:3:3 folder ensures the highest folding quality. With its high level of automation the EUROMAN is very versatile with both short and long runs. The short makeready times permit rapid production of many different types of jobs. Povolzhskiy Dom Pechati is convinced about this. But also the price, the quality of the press, and the professional service support from HGS, manroland’s regional Sales & Service Partner in Russia, were decisive factors.
